Thanks Imnakoya. Ok, I know I’ve said it before but, but for someone who wasn’t there you really know how to represent to the fullest.

Are there any other events coming up like TED? I hear there is something big going to Cote d’ Ivoire in this December, but don’t have all of the details yet.

Anyhow, keep the good work up.

I hope you were not affected by the bridge accident in Minnesota? I’m a regular reader of Grandiose Parlor.

Thanks Benin - I don’t know of any upcoming TED-like events…however, there is going to be a followup of the TEDGlobal Arusha conference somewhere on the continent…

NaijaMan: Thanks. I escaped the tragedy. Accidents happen everywhere; the scale of the disaster can’t be appreciated by photos or videos…and I was on ground to see how the first-responders and other crew assembled on ground-zero in Minneapolis…in a very efficient and organized manner. There were also lots of citizen-journalists on ground… with their cameras.

Thanks Imnakoya for answering my query. I have learned that there will be several summits in Tanzania around May, they are not really related to blogging, though but I am planning to be there and then stop over in Kenya and elsewhere in the vicinity.

  5. III Carnival of Africa Enterprising on White African « beninmwangi.com says:

[…] Posted by beninmwangi on August 7th, 2007 The third Carnival of Africa Enterprising is up on White African. This time instead of going wide, Hash decided to quality. So this edition has 5 posts, plus one bonus. Actually, as Imnakoya had tried to persuade me, this is probably the format that the carnival should have taken from the beginning-don’t know why I’m so stubborn at times. Really, what I have learned so far is that this whole blog carnival deal works out a lot better though when the host is empowered to use his or her own creative license. […]

You know what it’s all about how we as africans look at the challenges. Its all about attitude. Looking back at the last 10 years Africa has made significant progress.
