Lagos Governor plans Energy City for Badagry

The Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, appears to be a man of big vision.
In addition to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) transport project, city-wide beautification project and proposed Eko Atlantic City, the governor’s plan for a 2 billion USD Lagos Energy City planned for Badagry is also on full steam.
Within his first year in office Fashola has revealed/initiated more ideas/projects than most two-term governors. This is commendable.

Well, its high time we start to openly commend good initiatives and from what I have observed in Lagos, a lot of good works are being done, and evidently so. Lagos is gradually changing, but for the dogged mindset of the general populace in Lagos which needs a lot of hard work to effect proper change, things would have improved even further. What Fashola needs to do is to tag each projects with sustainable continuance, even in later years when he is no longer governor, (hopefully he would serve a second term). My reason for saying this is for example, the Jakande education project which is being decried now was a good venture which was not sustained, hence allowed to rut.
Kudos Governor Fashola, Nigeria needs more like you and our prayers that caring leaders should emerge in Nigeria will yet be answered.
