Obasanjo, Agagu indicted over power projects

At last! The House of Representatives power probe has recommended the investigation and trial of Obasanjo and his former minister of energy Dr Agagu, the Ondo state governor.

The panel asked the House to recommend to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for investigation are former President Olusegun Obasanjo; Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu; the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

This is certainly a big step, a PDP-controlled House indicting another PDP bigwigs, a former president and sitting governor. First time ever in Nigeria!

Let’s see how it plays out.

  1. At last!!!

  2. Thats was my first reaction – at last, but now seems the Nigerian factor is at play again. What with missing files, and now I hear Waziri is saying that Nuhu Ribadu never in the first instant start any probe against OBJ, Agagu and co. Well, the truth shall not remain hidden. Let us follow the ensuing drama with interest. :)
