The Punch reports:
SSS arrests another online journalist:
The State Security Service has reportedly arrested another United States-based Nigerian, Mr. Emeka Asiwe.
Online news medium, saharareporters.com, reports that Asiwe, who runs www.huhuonline.com, was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos as he arrived the country for a burial. According to family members, shortly after his arrest, Asiwe was reportedly flown to the SSS headquarters, Abuja and detained. He has not been allowed access to lawyers or family members.
Oh no, what is happening? Whatever happend to freedom of speech? Is this a way of frightening bloggers in the Diaspora from going into Nigeria? A transparent government should not have anything to fear. I thought Military Rule and Dictatorship with all the evils that are linked to it is over. The struggle has to continue, for Democracy is not ready for the coffin. We cry again with one voice, Free or charge HUHU (Emeka Asiwe). Stop this evil arrests of freedom fighters. Do not wind back the hands of the clock in Nigeria. We need to move FORWARD.

Someone somewhere must know something! After the initial furore all seems so quiet. I’ve searched and am blank too. Does anyone know what’s happened?
