Over the weekend, the 2008 M-Net Face of Africa beauty show came to a close in South Africa. Catch a footage of the final as it opens with bang by the House Of Holy Afro. By the way the new “Face of Africa” is Kate Menson from Ghana.

Now I know what I have missed
Wish I attended. This 8 minute clip is so INTERESTING. Kate Mensah really looked good on the Catwalk. I was focussing on just her facial appearance before. Well done Oluchi and M-Net.

WHy are all the girls soo skinny!? This is not the face of Africa but the face of Europe. Where are the women with some meat oh their bones?

Face of Africa still feautures skinny girls because this is the choice of the younger generation, to remain slim. The women with meat on their bones are there and as beautiful as ever but wont compete favourably against the slim ones so they would have a different event called Big is Beautiful. That said, there are many countries in Africa that have people with very slender frames.
